Derrick Perez

Director/Producer

As a young Tampa native, Derrick Perez has made filmmaking his passion. At the young age of 23 he has already over a decade of experience; shooting multiple commercials, documentaries, features, and short films.

Perez hopes to make a difference through his storytelling and other creative works. On top of his career as a filmmaker he is also a child advocate and fights hard to protect children and help them find success. Perez is honored to be in the position he is in to help others and pay forward the act of kindness that helped him overcome his situation and come from being a victim to a survivor. Since his experiences, he’s done a lot of trauma work and has experience working with many others who were victims of domestic violence, emotional/physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect. He knows what it’s like to be in the victim’s shoes and is passionate and willing to hold their hand and walk them in their journey through healing through his many works. 

Shannon Davis

Producer (Business)

Shannon is the Producer of Axion pictures and a Tampa native. She has always had a passion for people and making a difference. She loves to be able to educate others about different cultures, stories, and experiences through film. She never gives up and never gives in. Her passion is in telling stories that make a difference.
